This three dimensional papercut/papersculpture of Sha'ar Shechem,Damascus Gate, is made of white watercolor paper cut, folded, and mounted in many layers. The city of Jerusalem sits under a gold leaf arch containing the words of bircat cohanim, the traditional blessing. The blessing translates as:" May God bless you and protect you. May God shine his countenance upon you and be gracious to you. May God lift his countenance upon you and grant you peace." It makes a beautiful mizrach.
