This papercut is a welcoming blessing. In the corners Avraham's tent is shown, the shining example of hospitality. It is viewed from four sides, its doors open to guests who may come from any direction.

The word comes from Deuteronomy, 28:6, where we hear the blessings to be anticipated in the land of Israel, "Blessed will you be as you come in,(blessed will you be as you go out.)" The verses in this chapter inspired the central view, Jerusalem, surrounded by the prosperous Land of Israel. The seven "fruits" of the land are shown in the border, and as part of the landscape.
